2021 Laid Back Labor Day
Laid Back Labor Day was slightly better than the previous holidays…
the rain came beforehand! Record-breaking rainfall in some areas led to a few cancellations, a few scares of rain but ultimately it did not bring the weekend down! The weather was cool and crisp fall air mixed with the warm sun shining down before B.D. Lenz and Lelica sang us into a great weekend! Some amazing vocals mixed with a talented acoustic guitar mixed to make a fun chill evening. This duo worked well off each other as they serenaded us into the weekend!
Saturday followed the cool chill vibe from Friday evening to make for an incredible Saturday full of fun and events
Archery was a perfect flow of people, Crafts saw some time on the Barn Porch and we experimented with paint-filled balloons for the first official attempt at Splatter Painting! Everyone had a bomb of a time and segway into Laid Back Opposite Races. These were a race against patients as well as listening skills… virtually no running though to keep the chill vibe of the weekend! E Rock Entertainment supplied us with the usual amazing night of beats, dancing and photos! It is always a killer time when Eric and Craig roll through TGD!
Sunday started rainy, dreary, and not too optimistic
There was fear of rain ruining the end of a great Laid Back Labor Day. After it scared people away from archery and crafts it began to feel like everyone was hiding. Other than the few people at Yoga finding their zen most people seemed to have left or bunkered in against the rain. Then like a ray of light and hope some people burst through for Rock Painting and Scavenger Bingo before an incredible evening of music from Some Guys and A Broad. This phenomenal band ROCKED out classic after classic rock anthem for a crowd that nearly blew down the Pavilion begging for more
