2021 Sawah African Drum and Dance Festival Weekend
2021 Sawah African Drum and Dance Festival Weekend
A community drum circle in the United States is a fun, family friendly event, where people come together in order share their spirit by entraining rhythmically as a percussion ensemble.
Friday’s events were set into a whirlwind with a flash flood and gale force winds
This force however was one that blew in an incredible new weekend! Yahaya Kamate and Company took the campground by storm and gave everyone a spectacular event. There were classes for those who purchased wristbands as well as some free entertainment for TGD campers such as drum and dance circles. The drum circles were an amazing experience to both watch and be a part of. The unique and ancient instruments of the Djembe, Dun Dun and Balafone covered our beautiful woods with a blanket of equally beautiful and organic melodies.
Thank you so much to all involved in this special new theme and get your wristbands ready for 2022!
